• Licenciatura (5 years Bachelor) on Mechanical Enginner, branch of production and mechanical constructions, at Instituto Superior Técnico. (1987-1992).

From August 1995 until April 1997

Worked in the team of product cost optimization. The team was composed by finance, buyers, manufacturing enginners and product engineers. The team had 3 portugueses and 7 germans and 1 english, being 3 from Ford and 5 from Volkswagen.

Main tasks:

• Coordination and continous improvement of all the support work needed to register and track the ideas. From the presentation and meetings preparation to the following of proposals, according to, by instance, deadlines, envolved departaments, persons responsables and pending actions. Creation of performance indicators and permanent update of the same.
• Design of a multi-user system with 25 users that contains at date of exit 1100 proposals. It includes the  control of a budget of around 2 000 000 000 PTE for developing..
• Support to the definition of the targets of cost reduction per department.
• Organisation of 28 value analysis workshops and of 6 studys of competition analysis with a annual budget of 50 000 000 PTE.
• Responsable for the difusion of information about the departament with 5 articles written for the internal AutoEuropa Newspaper.
• Responsable at department level by ISO 9000

From April to July 1995
